The story of our time on the island of St. Maarten

Dillon our spring baby (more of a big boy now) celebrated his 11th birthday here on the island. It is amazing to see how much he has grown - physically, mentally and emotionally. I remember him as a small little baby - a full head of auburn colored hair (don't ask - we don't know where it came from). When he learned to crawl and discovered the dogs water bowl, and shared it. When he learned to walk on the beach on the Outer Banks. When he welcomed his little brother to the world. When he started school in the mountains of Colorado. When he developed a passion for bouldering and all his trials and tribulations competeing. When he realized he would be leaving his good friends and family to move to a Caribbean Island. Watching him develop a close bond with his brother and adjusting to living in a foreign country. Finding another passion in surfing and being so courageous to join a large group of French speaking kids out in the ocean and sharing waves with them. We are so proud of him and all that he has learned in his lifetime. He has become more confident, is passionate, loving, caring, a lover of life, reading, learning and exploring. Although he is still very young he has learned and experienced so much - we wish you happiest of birthdays Dillon!!!!!!!
Good morning birthday boy
